RFID - Radio Frequency IdentificationTwo types of RFID technologies are available on the market: passive and active. Passive RFID consists of having "stickers" powered by the induction of current by the electromagnetic field created by the reader equipment interrogating the RFID tag within a close range that cannot exceed a couple of yards. Active RFID allows full bidirectional communication and transfer of information stored on an autonomous sensor powered by a battery. Long distance is not an issue with a radio range tunable from 2 meters to 1 kilometer. We focus on active RFID with hardware and software adapted to remote control and command through our fixed and mobile gateways with smart low power SoCs. RTLSThe eRFquake sensor provides RTLS information. Real time locating systems are used to track and identify the location of objects in real time using simple, inexpensive nodes (badges/tags) attached to or embedded in objects and devices (readers) that receive the wireless signals from these tags to determine their locations. RF Sensor advantagesOf small size, our sensors integrate easily to many devices with no maintenance for up to 10 years based on frequency of sollicitations.
